Biography
A senior executive with extensive experience in leading complex public-sector organisations, she has developed a professional profile combining administrative and managerial expertise, technical and quantitative skills, experience in human resource development and enhancement, and in-depth knowledge of the planning, management and monitoring processes underpinning international development cooperation.
She holds a degree in Statistical and Economic Sciences from Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna. Following a brief experience in the private sector, she joined local public administration in 1992, where she progressively assumed increasing responsibilities in the fields of statistics, information technology and human resources management. Since 2012, she has held senior management positions across several organisational areas.
In 2021, she joined AICS as Head of the Human Resources Office. In 2025, she assumed responsibility for the Human Development Office, which oversees development cooperation initiatives in the areas of health, education, social inclusion, gender equality, disability inclusion, child protection and the promotion of human rights. Since 2026, she has also served as Head of the Environment and Land Use Office. For five months in 2024, she served as Head of the AICS Hanoi Office, representing the Agency at key institutional events in South-East Asia, including the launch of the AICS Project Office at the Embassy of Italy in Jakarta, within the framework of the strategic partnership between Italy and ASEAN.
In assuming leadership of the AICS Tirana Office, Dr Iotti brings extensive experience combining strong administrative and organisational leadership, close attention to the quality of processes and procedures, a commitment to developing human capital, and first-hand knowledge of the operations of overseas offices. Her professional career is dedicated to strengthening the effectiveness of the Agency’s work and promoting increasingly impactful and sustainable development cooperation initiatives in partner countries.
