AICS Tirana works in collaboration with a wide range of partners, governmental and not, local Italian and international, contributing to the implementation of the projects as implementing partners or as part of a consortium, and focusing on single/ specific activities.
Several national ministries are our partners, as in Albania MTKS – Ministry for Tourism, Culture and Sport or MARD – Ministry for Agriculture and Rural Development or MoHSW – Ministry of Health and Social welfare, according with the specific Country Strategy related to the single country in the Region. In Serbia, for instance, some ministries are involved in the programme called “Protocollo Antonione”, relaunched in 2023 in partnership with the Ministry for European Integration and other ministrieis (Agriculture, Forests and water resources, Environmental protection., Education, Science and technological development, Energy and Mines, Health).
Partner countries can also be part of the project activities through National Agencies, like AKMC – Albanian Agency for Civil Protection or the Albanian Investment Corporation – AIC to develop the feasibility study of EXPO Albania, or again the 3 judicial Albanian institutions supported by the EU funded project “EU for Justice”: the High Judicial Council (HJG), the High Prosecutorial Council (HPC), the High Justice Inspector (HJI).
AICS Tirana is collaborating with governmental institutions also at local level, with Municipalities and Regions, funded and supported in the framework of different projects to enhance their capacities in terms of service providing, a crucial involvement in order to guarantee sustainability to the achieved results.
International Organizations represent another key-partner for AICS Tirana. Along with CIHEAM Bari, that is currently (February 2026) implementing 4 different projects funded by the Italian Government in the Western Balkans, AICS Tirana is collaborating with UN Agencies such as UNDP, Un Women, UNFPA, IOM, UNODC, UNESCO, ILO and UNDRR, providing a complex and solid support on multi-bilateral channel.
Another relevant implementing partner of AICS Tirana is the so-called Italian System of Cooperation. According with Law 125, different players are part of this system: Civil Society Organizations, Local Authorities such as Italian regions and municipalities, Universities and Research Institutes, in addition to a wide range of institutional partners providing technical assistance in different ways, such as CAI – Italian Alpine Club, CSM – Superior Council of the Judiciary, Italian Department for Civil Protection or CIA – Italian Confederation of Farmers.
