Workshop on Investments and SMEs Financing in Albania organized by the Italian-Albanian Program for Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs)

This workshop addressed issues related to access to financing for SMEs, the promotion of best practices for their development, and strengthening investment infrastructure. Despite being a significant pillar of the Albanian economy, SMEs still face the need for both financial and regulatory support to improve their access to financing and enhance economic sustainability.

The campaign launched in Korça, one of the 9 municipalities of Albania where UNFPA and AICS are implementing their intervention to reduce gender-based violence and harmful practices through gender-responsive governance, this year coincides with the global campaign of the “16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence” and marks the beginning of a year-long initiative to challenge harmful social norms, prevent early and forced marriages, and promote gender equality across Albania.

EXPO 2025 brought together women entrepreneurs and companies from across Albania, filling the space with ideas, energy, and collaboration. The event marked an important step toward new opportunities for women-led businesses and innovation.
Organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy and Innovation, with the financial support of the governments of Sweden, Italy (AICS), and the United Kingdom, the EXPO signals that this is just the beginning, more opportunities are ahead for women entrepreneurs.
