AICS Tirana, in partnership with CIHEAM Bari, participated in the Milanese TuttoFood fair, presenting products and producers from Albania and Bosnia and Herzegovina, supported by two different ongoing projects: “Typic-Al” and “Green & Healthy.”
This was a significant opportunity for small rural producers from the Western Balkans to showcase their capabilities to the national and international markets.
The side event “Focus Balkans” also received considerable attention, exploring the future prospects of the agri-food sector in the region, a dynamic area where innovation and sustainability merge with unique centuries-old traditions. The work that “Sistema Italia” is carrying out through various projects is producing impact and value in promoting inclusive and resilient supply chains in Albania and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Key words of the meeting were Institutional Synergy, Innovation and Health, and Territorial Identity.
In addition to the contributions of representatives of AICS Tirana and CIHEAM Bari, significant firsthand accounts were provided by Ms. Maja Zimonjic, an organic beekeeper in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Mr. Sokol Kano, representative of the Local Action Group in Permet, Albania.
