October 29, 2025_An intense event focusing on dialogue and opportunities for Albanian women’s entrepreneurship was successfully held in Tirana, at the well-known Pyramid in the city center.
WOMEN EXPO 2025 has been organized by UN Women, with the participation of AICS Tirana and several representatives from private sector and public institutions, in addition to numerous stakeholders active in women’s economic development. Deputy Ambassador of Italy to Tirana Pierluigi Simonetti also attended the opening remarks.
AICS Tirana Deputy Head of Office, Letizia Fischioni, took part of the panel “Systemic Barriers to Entrepreneurship“, related to the obstacles that women face in a business start-up. AICS Tirana carried out a significant work on this manner, particularly in rural and marginalized areas of the country. “When women are granted equal access to resources, financial tools, and decision-making processes, their remarkable entrepreneurial potential clearly emerges, fostering innovative and successful businesses” Fischioni said in her speech.
