Approval of the Management Plan of Bylis and Klos Archaeological Park (2024-2029)

Today marks a significant milestone for the Archaeological Park of Bylis and Klos in the region of Mallakastra. The Government of Albania has approved the management plan for Bylis Archaeological Park (2024-2029). This plan is a key component of the project “EU for Economic Development – Tourism-led, Local Economic Development with a Focus on Cultural Heritage“.

The project aims to preserve and restore the archaeological treasures of Bylis and Klos, improve accessibility, and boost local economic growth by working closely with the local community. We are glad to see Bylis and Klos thrive with preserved heritage, better access, and a stronger local economy.

A huge thanks to the Ministry of Economy, Culture, and Innovation for their continuous support and to our partners from Regione Emilia Romagna and University of Bologna, in addition to local experts.

The management plan and its related activities are co-funded by the European Union, in collaboration with the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation as the implementing agency, with a fund of €6,250,000.
