Public Hearing on the Management Plan for the Archaeological Park of Bylis and Klos

Within the framework of the IPA project “EU for Economic Development led by Tourism, Local Economic Development, with a focus on Cultural Heritage”, implemented by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS, Tirana) in close collaboration with the Ministry of Economy, Culture, and Innovation, a public hearing was held on April 8, 2024, at the Bylis Theater to discuss the Management Plan for the Archaeological Park of Bylis and Klos. This significant event brought together local community members, heritage and tourism experts, and other interested parties to discuss the future of this nationally important archaeological site.

The hearing aimed to foster a collaborative environment where participants could express their views and contribute further to the drafting of the Management Plan. During the public hearing, experts presented ideas, suggestions, and perspectives, emphasizing sustainable tourism, the preservation of historical assets, and the enhancement of visitor experiences. The local community actively participated in the discussions, offering valuable insights into how the development of the park could benefit their lives and the preservaton of the cultural heritage of the region.

The feedback and suggestions collected during the hearing will be crucial in further improving the Management Plan, ensuring it reflects the community’s aspirations and development opportunities for the future. The Management Plan for the Archaeological Park of Bylis and Klos will serve as a guideline for sustainable development and preservation of this archaeological treasure, bringing benefits to both the local community and visitors from around the world.
